General guidelines

Speakers are asked to arrive in their session room 10 minutes before the start of their session to report to the Session Chairs.

A projector and a computer with MS PowerPoint & Adobe Acrobat Reader will be available in the session room.
Files can be uploaded to the computer in the lecture room during the breaks between the sessions. To avoid software compatibility problems, we advise speakers to restrict to these file formats for their presentations:

  • .ppt
  • .pptx
  • .pdf

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST BRING THE PRESENTATION ON A USB MEMORY STICK IN ORDER TO TRANSFER IT TO THE COMPUTER IN THE PRESENTATION ROOM.

Authors should also be aware that movies embedded in the presentations are not guaranteed to be correctly played. Also, using fonts that are not present in the Windows operating systems could negatively impact the rendering of presentations.

WiP papers

The presentation of work-in-progress papers will take place in special WiP sessions that have been arranged in the conference program.

These sessions will consist of a first part in which authors will present their scientific results in a short oral presentation (3 minutes), followed by the exposition of all posters related to that session.

Therefore, authors of WiP papers are expected to prepare:

  • A presentation of 3 minutes maximum.
Follow the same technical guidelines reported above for regular papers to prepare your presentations.
Please note that the presentation time has to be strictly respected to allow everyone to present their work fairly.
  • A poster to illustrate visually all the scientific findings relevant to your WiP paper. The recommended poster format is portrait A0 (84.1 cm wide x 118.9 cm height).
Double-sided adhesive tape and/or pins will be available in the poster area to put the posters on the panels. Please do not use other types of adhesive tapes.
There are no restrictions on the layout of your poster.

Please, be aware that the conference does not offer poster printing services.

Authors are required to hang up their posters on the panels in the morning, as posters will be displayed continuously during the day. Also, authors are required to be available at their posters for discussions after the oral presentations.
